Baby Talk

Chasing the trash dump truck…all morning:

This morning, Zhuzhu woke up by the trash dump truck’s beeps…Bee-Dee-Bee-Bee. His eyes turned big immediately and pointed at the door, saying “ah-ah-ah” (that means, go, go, go). He loves watching the giant dump truck. So, why not let him pursue his dream and follow his passion? I put clothes on him and myself…then I put him on the Made-in_England Hollywood style stroller. Run!

The dump truck already left our street. So we were running to the next street. No, not there. Next street! Yeah - Zhuzhu saw it: the giant green dump truck was right there doing its job: lifting two big trash cans and dump! with the sound “Bee-Dee-Bee-Bee” while the yellow stop-lights on. Zhuzhu was amazed! We followed the truck through the whole street, then the next street…until Zhuzhu’s breath came back to the normal speed. I looked at him, and he was smiling!

When you can pursue your dream, why not follow it. Run!

Words from Zhuzhu and my talk with him

(I was chatting with a friend who moved to HK with her toddler and family)

Me: …life does get busier and busier… baby used to be like a back-pack that you have to carry all the time day and night; toddler is like a carry-on; you don’t need to carry him, but you do need to keep an eye on him most of the times.

Friend: Haha.. this metaphor is quite true and witty! My “carry-on” always wants to sneak away with his good pair of wheels now. can’t wait to see him transform into “check-in” luggage for the kindergarten!

Me: Ha…I wonder what they transform to after being “check-in” luggage?…I see that we as parents are transforming into Boeing 747 - heavy, full of speed, clear itinerary with possible change of direction :)
